Which molecule in plants is capable of gathering the energy from the sun?

    Chlorophyll is one of the “Green” molecules that is capable of gathering the energy from sun. There are variations in chlorophyll molecule and the different types of chl molecules are- chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b.
    Besides cholorophyll, there are other molecules too that capture the suns energy. eg xanthophylls
