i’d start a factory producing the air car….even if it doesn’t help the enironment as much as the company wants u to believe, at least u will be bankrupting the middle east.

Buy a CFL lightbulb. You can get them for under a dollar and reduce your electical consumption.

Buy as many seedlings of trees as you can for a dollar (or ask the Arbor Foundation for some to lant). Plant them all and tend them as they grow to help bank carbon and generally improve your environment.

There are tons of things you can actually do for free to improve the environment, so I would look around for those. That won’t cost you a dollar, only some of your time.

Spend the buck in gas to get to the nearest recycling plant to recycle your cans and bottles.

Go to the Family Dollar or “Everything for $1″ store and buy a container that you will only use to put recyclables in at home.

Send 2 letters (82 cents) to your most eco-friendly friends with a signed statement inside begging them to get on you about being “green” in everything you do. Ask them to tell you everything they do that is “green” & “environmentally cool” and give them permission to bug you about not recycling / following their lead. Tell them that if you ever get crabby at them they should produce the signed statement you’ve mailed them and wave it in your face.

You have been given some really good ideas. I’d like to offer one, too. Do some research on the Internet on solar cooking. Use that dollar to buy aluminum foil and use a cardboard box you will salvage from someones trash. Use your new solar cooker to make food - only energy it takes is what you put into building it.
