yes. seal all cracks in your home, including windows & doors. add more insulation into your attic and check your roof. use window coverings, dress cooly, and run fans. open windows at night & drink more water.

<a href=""></a>

Honey, it's everywhere... not just your bill. Until our Government provides more green power, such as windmills, hydroelectric dams, and solar power, it will just keep rising. It's all tangled up in politics and the super-rich.

The newer appliances save some, but it may not be that noticeable, considering the prices of things.

Remember the "lights-off" day about a month ago? I turned off everything and my bill dropped $20 for that month. My husband and I lit candles and just talked. It was actually kind of fun, in an old-fashioned way.

Newer appliances have been proven to save energy. - They're more efficient! If you're trying to get your bill down, you can look at some other 'green' web sites that offer other tips - 1. keep draperies closed to direct sunlight/update windows with dual pane 2. turn off all lights and appliances (computer) when you leave the room 3. run fans around the house to help cool 4. do laundry and run the dishwasher early in the day or late at night/hang dry laundry... Yahoo Green is another great place to check... Good Luck!
